Arthur Pallas began his career in jewellery design and retailing in Europe in the 1950s and later expanded his business in Melbourne, Australia with his wife Maria as Bluestone Jewellers. Arthur is celebrating his 50th year as a Master Jeweller. Arthur's passion for his craft was instilled in his then apprentice and now current business partner, Nicholas Vrettas. Since 1975 Nicholas has mastered the art of jewellery making and has worked in wholesale manufacturing for elite jewellery stores in Melbourne. In the late 90's, Nicholas and Arthur opened their first boutique store, Diamond Affaire in the Royal Arcade. In 2002 Steve Pallas joined the business as an apprentice and under the direction of Arthur and Nick he quickly developed skills in jewellery making and sales. He is now a Director and Business Partner in place of his retiring father. In 2005, the business moved into Hardware Lane under the name of G&N Designer Jewellers. The previous owners, Nick & George Pappas have retired from the business and because of our close relationship with them, G&N is now in good hands with trustworthy people who care about their customers.
